The JMP Testing team’s goal is to ensure software quality. We achieve this by using JMP software the way a customer would use it, trying to find and report any issues while they can still be addressed by Development. Software testing requires a wide array of skills including programming in languages such as Python or JMP’s Scripting Language (JSL) to automate tasks as well as interactive problem solving. The successful intern candidate will play a critical role in developing tests for our latest JMP release.

As an intern on our team, you may:

• Develop automated tests using Python or JSL
• Build a JMP dashboard that clearly communicates test results
• Publish results to JMP Live
• Contribute to other JMP Testing team projects on an ad hoc basis

To be successful in this internship, you should have the following:

• Ability to develop novel solutions to technical problems
• Genuine interest in working with data and data analysis software
• Familiarity with basic graphs and statistics
• Experience with data analysis software (JMP experience not required)
• Coding / scripting skill in any language, as well as a willingness to learn the basics of JMP Scripting Language (JSL)
• Strong communication and organization skills
• Preferred areas of study in Computer Science/Data Science, MIS, Statistics, or Analytics
• You’re an undergraduate college student enrolled in an accredited program, not graduating prior to December 2026
