About the job:
Are you ready to join JMP as our Sr Enterprise Architect? This new role will report directly to the office of the CEO. You will be responsible for coordinating IT resources within our growing organization. This includes helping to administer the JMP technology stack, working with Procurement to negotiate third-party technology purchases, interfacing with Information Security to ensure compliance of new and existing systems, coordinating technology changes and upgrades within the division, and being a liaison to the larger SAS CIS organization. While we share resources with our parent company, SAS, our unique business model, responsibilities and development environment mean that we also have many distinct systems. This new role will lead efforts to ensure that the technologies used across the enterprise adhere to a common architecture and to ensure the technical aspects of applications adhere to the strategic business goals of the company.
What you’ll do:
Cross Departmental Coordination: Optimize existing systems for cross-departmental operation. Gather feedback on proposed changes and make appropriate recommendations. Ensure that the introduction of changes or new systems is coordinating across departments in a timely manner and is cognizant of obligations to external and internal customers.
Procurement: Work with JMP Procurement, Legal, vendors and internal business partners to evaluate, choose, purchase, install and maintain 3rd party software and hardware products for Digital Operations, R&D, Sales and Marketing, Business Operations, Legal and Finance staff. Create specifications for in-house systems that must be replaced, obtain their replacements, and ensure their timely integration into JMP processes.
Contractor Management: Manage relationships with IT vendors and ensure services are provided as expected. Transition our existing cloud service provider accounts for Amazon Web Services and Azure to JMP and obtain competitive pricing, if required by SAS.
Product Security: Work with JMP Information Security to ensure that new and existing systems meet compliance requirements, that any changes adhere to the latest standards, and that technology decisions align with corporate certification goals.
SAS Liaison: Meet with CIS professionals in SAS to learn how technology changes in the larger organization impact JMP. Provide feedback and work with transitions to ensure the minimal disruption to JMP operations. Coordinate conversations when issues arise that impact JMP’s internal operations or the ability to work with our customers.
